Pâtes Baroni Pasta Poster Print by Leonetto Cappiello (1920s)

Product details

Pasta advertising with a Cappiello connection

Bring a love of food and historic advertising together with this reproduction of Leonetto Cappiello’s Pâtes Baroni pasta poster, dated to the 1920s. Its named food brand makes it a distinctive choice for a kitchen or dining space, offering an alternative to botanical kitchen prints and general culinary illustrations. Display it individually or build a food-and-drink collection around related advertisements.

About the advertisement

Cappiello’s commercial artwork made everyday products into memorable advertising subjects. Here, the connection to pasta gives the print a practical place in a room devoted to cooking and gathering around food. For collectors interested in the artist, it offers another commercial subject to compare with his drinks advertisements, creating a shared authorship across a varied gallery wall.

Create a personal dining corner

Imagine displaying the poster near a shelf of favourite cookbooks, with warm wooden furniture, softly textured table linen and a place to share a meal with friends. It can introduce a vintage advertising connection without requiring the whole room to follow a café theme. The recorded red, beige and green palette provides a starting point for coordinating accessories or companion artwork.

A smaller paper format can join an established gallery arrangement, while a larger paper print or canvas gives Pâtes Baroni a more prominent place. Pair it with Cappiello’s Campari and Contratto advertisements for a same-artist display, then add Fernet-Branca to broaden the food-and-drink connection. Consider your available wall space and preferred format before selecting a size.

Paper prints and framed options

This product is a reproduction, not an original pasta advertisement from the 1920s. The paper options are giclée prints on 200gsm matte art paper. Choose a print-only version if you would like to use your own frame, or select a framed paper option with a black wooden frame and white mount. These paper formats are available in three sizes.

Ready-to-hang canvas

Canvas is a separate material option rather than a paper print supplied in a frame. Choose the 24 × 32 in large canvas or the 32 × 44 in extra-large canvas for a ready-to-hang version. The 200gsm paper specification and the black wooden frame with white mount described for paper options do not describe the canvas formats.
