A warm botanical accent for your kitchen

Bring the quiet charm of vintage botanical illustration into your home with this reproduction of Ellen Isham Schutt’s 1910 Washington Navel orange artwork. The orange and beige palette offers a warm, nature-inspired accent for a kitchen, dining room or thoughtfully arranged gallery wall. It is an inviting choice for a cottagecore interior, where fruit illustrations can sit alongside natural textures, favourite ceramics and everyday objects that make a room feel personal.

About the artwork

Schutt’s Washington Navel orange illustration celebrates the fruit through the careful observation associated with botanical studies. Its illustrative style and connection to realism make it appealing to anyone who enjoys natural-history art and the understated character of historic fruit imagery. Rather than relying on a bold slogan or a busy decorative pattern, this artwork brings a familiar subject into focus, offering a small moment of appreciation for the natural world.

The vertical orientation lends itself to a narrow section of kitchen wall or a larger arrangement of botanical prints. Imagine it beside a breakfast table or as part of a citrus-themed display: a warm visual note that makes an everyday corner feel considered. Display it on its own for a simple focal point, or pair it with other fruit illustrations to build a collection that reflects your taste.

Paper, printing and finish

This is a reproduction of the historic artwork, not an original antique illustration. It is produced using giclée printing on 200gsm matte art paper, providing a matte surface for your chosen display. Both print-only and framed options are available, so you can choose a finish that works with your existing decor or introduce a coordinated framed piece.

• Small: 11 × 14 in, available as a print only or framed.
• Medium: 12 × 16 in, available as a print only or framed.
• Large: 18 × 24 in, available as a print only or framed.
• Framed options include a black wooden frame and white mount for a matted finish. Select your preferred size and finish above.

Create a citrus gallery wall

Pair it with Ellen Isham Schutt’s vintage lemon print for a citrus-themed kitchen gallery wall, or let the orange take centre stage on its own.
