About The Trumpet Shop

The Trumpet Shop started off life as a vintage themed pop up shop in Edinburgh (Scotland) in 2017. Since then it has evolved into an exclusively online shop for vintage art prints that ships worldwide.

Bring a touch of serene elegance and Japanese artistry to your home with this beautiful art print of a white peacock by Ohara Koson. Created in the 1920s, this print captures the majestic beauty and ethereal quality of this stunning bird. Koson's masterful use of color, composition, and delicate lines perfectly portrays the peacock's graceful form and intricate plumage. The white peacock, with its pure white feathers, symbolizes purity, beauty, and renewal. This print is perfect for those who appreciate Japanese art, nature-inspired motifs, and the beauty of birds.

Did you know? White peacocks are not albinos. They are a genetic mutation known as leucism, which causes a loss of pigmentation but not a complete absence of melanin. This means they can still have some colored pigment in their eyes (often pale blue) unlike true albinos which would have pink eyes. Leucism is a recessive trait, meaning both parents must carry the gene for their offspring to be white. This makes them relatively rare in the wild, though they are more common in captivity where they are specifically bred.

Bring a touch of serene elegance and artistic beauty into your home with this captivating white peacock print.
