Reproduced from a souvenir programme cover, it connects a named event with the Edwardian era, when powered flight was a new public spectacle. Choose it for a study, hallway or travel-themed gallery wall where historical transport has a personal connection.

About the programme cover

Unlike a general aircraft illustration, this work commemorates a specific aviation meeting and its Blackpool setting. Its origins as a souvenir programme cover link it with the printed material that visitors could keep as a reminder of an event. That context makes it an interesting companion to advertisements and travel posters, offering another way in which early transport was presented to the public.

Create a transport-history corner

Imagine displaying the print beside a shelf of aviation books, with warm wooden furniture, softly textured fabrics and a model aircraft or travel keepsake nearby. It can introduce a connection to early flight into an everyday room without requiring the whole space to follow a museum-style theme. The recorded black, green and pink palette provides a starting point for coordinating accessories or companion prints.

A smaller format can join an established gallery arrangement, while a larger print gives the Blackpool event a more prominent place. Pair it with a balloon poster to explore an earlier chapter in flight, or broaden the theme with railway and motorcycle advertisements. Together, those subjects can build a personal display around the different ways people travelled and imagined modern transport.

Paper, printing and finish

This product is a reproduction of the historic cover artwork, not an original 1909 programme or a complete souvenir booklet. It is produced using giclée printing on 200gsm matte art paper with a matte finish. Select a print-only version if you would like to use your own frame, or choose a framed option with a black wooden frame and white mount.
