Since 2017, when I started The Trumpet Shop as a pop up in Edinburgh (Scotland), I have carefully curated these rolling collections that hopefully bring history to life through exceptional examples of art. One thing that I learned from talking to people in the shop was that the choices they made tended to be based not on what they saw, but more how they felt when they saw it. Its quite a subtle, but powerful, distinction that has stayed with me all this time, and still guides me today when I'm looking for new artwork to showcase.

The collections are varied, featuring everything from dramatic vintage movie posters and inspiring vintage travel posters to intricate vintage botanical prints and romantic vintage french posters.

The art is all authentically vintage, in that it was originally created in a defined era of our time. The reproduction methods and presentation is obviously more modern, but my intention is to let you enjoy your own personal, emotive, connection with something from a bygone era in the true spirit that it was created with.

I've also left little notes on some of the product pages to share my own personal take on the art that's presented.
